RE: King Dome - In Motion - Like It?? - Mine's terrible

I have the KVH R6 unit with a dish 211 and a dish 311 (note 301
is NOT compatible)...and it worked OK...then went up north and it was killing and I could not get anything even in the park --there were some trees....so I was about to lose it when going south..reinitialized it and while running on the inverter turned off the carrier ac/heat pump standby and we got everything..all 3 sats without a problem...let's just hope it stays that way...note that 61.5 is limited state availability and once you go south of Pa they recommend satellite 129.

RE: I did it!--Now am into a DP

Just as an aside, this all happened when Monaco dropped a ball and I was supposed to get a 2008 with all the rebates....when they could not get the coach they promised the dealer, the dealer (DeWalts RV) screamed...next thing you know someone in Oregon called me and told me they were giving me a 2009 at a 2008 price...(if anyone wants specifics, you can PM me..) plus the 2008 rebates...I could not say no as I knew I could not get a Tiffin bus close to the price....(DeWalts was patient and I told them how I wanted PDI done...they did well)....I hope this one is a good one....

I did it!--Now am into a DP

Well I thank all who helped me decide to pull the plug...Picked up our 2009 HR Endeavor.....As I pulled into driveway...every neighbor came out to look.....It is beautiful although they made a few changes in 2009 which I need to get used to. (new monitor system for side and back)...the perfect floor plan and I spent several hours with mechanic as he and I tore the thing apart...The satellite radio had the wrong box and the part they ordered came in--wrong part...so they are getting one directly from Magnadyne (note the FM radio stinks--and once I add this one--hardly ever use it).....Picture to be posted as soon as possible.....Christening it this weekend....Sorry for the brag but I deserve it...My wife and I work too hard....

RE: CT Coachworks "Siena"

I'm going to jump in here and ask you to PM happyRVers as they have one and full time in it. Although there is a relation to the Crean family it is by in law and this person is way different than the other. The 39 model has only one slide but uses all space.....the 35 has two slides but less kitchen equipment (ie no dishwasher)....The dealer network is very weak (east) but this manufacturer survives as they are on the west coast and have more dealers there. Do a search on "siena" and you will see the threads come up.

RE: Do you use your washing/dryer machine?

Are you kidding?---wife LOVES it as we go to bed and wake up with dry clothes and the thing is like white noise...dogs don't even mind it...even on the daytrips..wash in--come back and it's dry...would never go anywhere without it again....

RE: Splindide Washer/Dryer - 2000 series

Not to add fuel to the fire, but the specs says it can wash 15 lbs of clothes but dry only 11....So there's your proof it can wash more than it can dry. Also drying is electric running on 110 AC so the drying power can only be as half of a residential one that runs on electric.

RE: Refer trouble...HELP!

Boy are you lucky...A. This is the recall and Dometic MUST cover it.
B. Here's where you are really lucky...sometimes the ammonia hits the electrical area of the fridge and then starts a fire and the coach turns to toast.
Many pictures of Dometic fires on the net and this forum.
Get it to a Dometic dealer right away...just go to dometic.com and find your nearest service place.

RE: Best route from Mystic, CT to Harrisburg, PA

I do this route blindfolded...DO NOT STAY ON I 95 thru NY STATE--
GO 95 South to I287 just at NY/CT Border...this puts you over the Tappan Zee Bridge...Stay on 87/287 (same road) after Tappan Zee Bridge ...now here's a choice...go to exit 14A of this road which is Garden State Parkway South and go to exit 142 which is 78 West..flat land but there are a few tolls (not bad)....or go up to exit 15 which is 287 south (Thruway and 287 split here) and stay on 287 south until it meets 78 West and then proceed as above...Note that it is kind of a wash either way. You will save about $2.00 in tolls if you go to exit 15...

RE: Dometic RM7030 frig blowing 12 volt fuse in fuse panel

Due to the heat , it is probably running hot and not getting enough air venting..check air vent for obstructions...also is fridge OK if you run it on gas? If all is OK when you run it on propane? If it is then your wires are getting heated up with electrical current...you might just need a new electrical connection or a cleanup of that area. I would check vent first, if electrical continues to blow fuses then switch to propane...you first have to isolate the method as to whether this runs--propane or electrical. Then I bet we can help.

RE: Excessive heat and engine noise

Go to summitracing.com and look up insulation blankets. The same stuff as you put on a hood of a car sticks to the bottom of the doghouse engine cover...It doesn't get rid of all of it....but it does help.

RE: Wholsale Prices

You can go to NADAguides.com but book value is a loose guide now since there is an overabundance of inventory. If you are looking at a 2006 with 2009's out there...you are looking at things that are 3 plus years old with 3 plus years on tires/batteries.===so take that into account....you will end up getting new ones much sooner than expected.

RE: What Happens With The Dealer's Motorhomes in Houston?

I don't mean to be a wise guy---but this could turn into an insurance nightmare--for both PPL and the owners who consign units there. And everyone loses...Hopefully PPL could get some owners to come get their units and somehow move a limited amount of units indoors (never been to the place).

RE: Entegra Coach Has Arrived (Updated)!

Unless Jayco firmly establishes a service network and/or authorized dealers---it is a moot point....and the MSRP pricing may be what a TS was...but the MARKET is no longer support a brand new high end make....only time will tell....but I do hope they make it somehow. This might end up being like a Rexhall which again...no nationwide marketing and no dealers...yet they survive (I found out that Rexhall does a lot of exporting which is keeping them afloat).

RE: Dealer going out of business. Do you pick up your trailer?

The way I see this is that he gave a deposit on the trailer. He can back out of deal but then he would get in line with other creditors to get his deposit back. Depending on how much the deposit is, I would eat it and talk to another dealer. If it was paid for in full (which I don't do until day of delivery)..then I would call manufacturer and ask if he can take it to another dealer of his choosing and get PDI done there. With any luck he gave his deposit on a credit card and can dispute the charge as no services were rendered and then the onus goes to the credit card people to charge the account of the dealer back. (that's why I always use a credit card for a deposit of anything)
